Week Seven Check-In

    We have been having a great few days here at Hoofbeat!!! Despite the wacky weather today, we were still able to fit in lots of great activities. 

    Unfortunately, due to the weather, not every group was able to ride today. When looking at the forecast earlier this week, the temperature was predicted to be in the high 90s by mid-afternoon. In order to keep our horses, campers, and staff safe from the heat, we implemented a condensed riding schedule in an attempt to fit in riding classes before the heat increased. However, starting around 10:30 AM, we experienced rain and scattered thunderstorms that lasted until about 1:30 PM. Safety is our utmost priority, and unfortunately four groups were unable to ride today because of this. 

    We still plan to do a condensed riding schedule tomorrow morning, and we hope that no thunderstorms will disrupt our day! We will cool off at the Mazomanie pool in the afternoon when the heat advisory is scheduled to take place. Hopefully, with this plan in place, campers will both be able to ride and stay safe and cool.
