Hello from Hoofbeat!
Happy week 4! We started off this week with some pretty hot weather, so we kept ourselves cool with rotations like horse bathing! Our horses were looking especially pretty after the campers washed and groomed them. The campers were also able to spend some time riding our lovely horses, making paper lanterns in arts & crafts, playing games like 'Toxic River', and learning how to groom and saddle the horses. Overall, it was a great start to our week, and we look forward to the next few days here at camp!
The Quarter Horses playing a name game in sports to get to know each other better!
The Arabians playing 'Toxic River', a game where you have to cross to the other side without touching the floor! It was even trickier during the round where they had to be silent!
Our lovely pinto horse, Scout, waiting patiently for the campers to learn how to groom and saddle.
The Shetland group learning about our barn rules- 'have fun' is our favorite!
Our counselor Haddie teaching the Shetlands about our barn stalls!
Some mounted pictures of the Falabellas on their horses!
Gandalf getting a nice bath from the Pintos! He is one of our gray horses, so you can really see when all the dirt washes off of him!
Gandalf and the Pintos!
Learning horse science with the Shetlands!
Thank you all for a great first day! We are looking forward to some cooler weather for the rest of the week. We'll see you tomorrow!
